The Dallas defense had no answer for him. The Eagles was vicious all game long forcing 5 turnovers. they were hounding Tony Romo all day. Tony Romo proven once again that he can't win when it counts. Fight for 1st in NFC

The Giants take the top seed in the NFC after overtime victory over the Panthers 34-28. If you are a true football fan you will love this game. This game was close for most of the game. Both of these teams played great games but unfortunately someone had to win and in this case it was the New York Giants and they were rewarded with the #1 seed in the NFC. Both of these teams are not to be messed with when the playoffs come around. The highliighted player is running back Derrick Ward who had a great game running the ball.

Big NFC East Matchup

The Redskins win a thriller in Fedex Field over the Eagles 10-3. This game was a defensive game all day. Neither team could put up any points. The Redskins did find a way to put the ball into the endzone after a Jason taylor sack and forced fumble. Clinton Portis ran in for the go ahead score to put the Redskins up 10-3 and they never looked back. This is by far the best defensive game the Redskins have played all season. The Redskins defense didn't allow a touchdown against the Eagles. The highlighted player of the game is defensive end Jason Taylor.

Fight for 1st place in AFC

The Titans lock up the top seed in the AFC with 31-14 win over the Steelers. The Titans defense hounded Ben Roethlisberger all game long. The Steelers were shutdown offensively and defensively they were not able to stop the Titans power offense. Ravens vs. Cowboys

The Cowboys took a hard loss to the Ravens 33-24. Mainly the Cowboys defense took a beatin cause the Ravens had their way with the Cowboys defense in the 4th quarter. Willis McGahee and Le'Ron McClain had huge runs of 77 and 82 yards in the 4th quarter. The Ravens defense had Tony Romo figured out. They put pressure on him and forced him into some mistakes. The Eagles win easily on Monday Night against the Browns 30-10. The Eagles had no problems out pf the Browns. Mcnabb had nice game throwing for 290 yards, 2 touchdowns, and a interception. Playoff hopes are over

The Redskins lose a critical game against the Bengals 20-13. It looked like the Bengals were the ones fighting for a playoff spot. The Redskins really look flat the whole game. The offense never got into a rhythm and was on the bench too much. I do commend the defense though for keeping them in the game after being down 17-0. The Redskins fall to 7-7 after the loss to Cincinnati and fall out of playoff contention. The highlighted player of the game is Bengals QB Ryan Fitzpatrick.

The Steelers rallied back in the 4th quarter to beat the Cowboys 20-13. Ben Roethlisberger had a good game throwing for over 200 yards and a touchdown. But it was that good ole Steelers defense that came to play. They forced five turnovers ( 3 ints, and 2 fum rec). Cowboys vs. Steelers Preview

This game is a huge for both teams. The Cowboys(8-4) need this game to try and keep pace with the Giants(11-1) who sit at the top of the NFC East. The Steelers(9-3) can clinch playoff spot with win plus Dolphins loss plus Patriots loss, or win plus Dolphins tie plus Patriots loss plus Jets loss. Whose defense will show up with their A game? On the other side we have the Giants who are at the top of all things possible with a record of 11-1. The Giants can clinch the NFC East title with a win or tie and Cowboys loss or tie. Burress Done

The Giants fined and suspended Burress for four games on Tuesday, four days after he accidentally shot himself in the right thigh at a Manhattan nightclub. He was officially placed on the reserve non-football injury list, which restricts him from practicing or returning to the teams's active roster for the remainder of the season, including the playoffs.

Plaxico Burress posted $100,000 bail on weapons possession charges Monday as a frenzy grew around the case of the Giants star receiver who accidentally shot himself in a nightclub. Clearly the Ravens defense completely owned the Bengals, but surprisingly they only forced the Bengals into 1 turnover, which was a interception returned for a touchdown by Strong Safety Jim Leonhard. The Ravens only gave up 155 yards of total offense. The Bengals were never in this game. Now that is what u call defense by the Ravens. The Giants came into FedEx Field and handed the Redskins a 23-7 loss. The Giants defense had the Skins in check the whole game. The Giants only allowed 7 points and forced 2 turnovers. Also they added 4 sacks. The Redskins were out of sync the entire game. Clinton never got going on the ground and Jason Campbell never got comfortable with the flow of the game. Their running game was on point with Brian Westbrook running for 110 yards and 2 touchdowns. On the defensive side the Eagles forced the Cardinals into 4 turnovers, 3 of which were interceptions thrown by Quarterback Kurt Warner. The Eagles held the ball for a total of 39 minutes. The Seahaks Were Smothered By Cowboys

The Cowboys were all over the Seahawks in a 34-9 victory. The Cowboys were firing on all cylinders and the Seahawks never had a chance not even scoring a touchdown (3 field goals). Tony Romo hand looked healthy as he threw for over 300 yards and 3 touchdowns. But the Cowboys defense really dominated the Seahawks all game. The highlighted player is someone on the defensive side of the ball, and he is outside linebacker DeMarcus Ware.

A Thanksgivng Massacre

The Titans completely destroyed the Lions 47-10. It was the Titans game from kickoff, the Lions never had a chance. The Titans running game looked unstoppable. Running backs Chris Johnson and LenDale White both ran for over 100 yards. The Titans forced the Lions into 3 turnovers(2 fumbles, 1 interception). The Ravens demolished the Eagles

That good ole Ravens defense is back and key reason why they won 36-7. Head Coach of the Eagles Andy Reid made a surprising call benching Donovan McNabb after 2 interceptions and a fumble lost. The back Kevin Kolb didn't do much better throwing 2 interceptions himself. One of those interceptions was thrown to Safety Ed Reed and he returned it 108 yards for a touchdown which is an NFL record. Ed Reeds intercepted both Quarterbacks and thats what makes him the highlighted player of the game.

Giants beat the Cardinals to stay atop the NFC East

The Giants win a close game over the Cardinals 37-29. The Giants were missing a key part of their offense in Brandon Jacobs who sat out because of injury. The Cowbys vs. 49ers

The Cowboys hand the 49ers their 8th loss winning 35-22. The 49ers never got their running game going and the Cowboys defense came up with a some key stops. Tony Romo is back and looks healthy tossing 3 touchdowns on 341 yards passing and most importantly no turnovers. But oh man the highlighted player of the game is Terrell Owens.

Cowboys CB Jones reinstated

Adam Jones joined the Cowboys today and is allowed to play on December 7 vs. the Steelers.
Commissioner Roger Goodell issued a brief statement confirming the details of Jones' return, noting that it can only happen "if he avoids any further incidents and fully complies with each and every condition that has been established for him."
I personally don't like this decision that Roger Goodell has made. Earlier in the year when Adam Jones was first reinstated both Roger Goodell and, Dallas President, Jerry Jones claim that there will be a no tolerance rule But there is a little problem: HE VIOLATED THE NO TOLERANCE RULE!!!!!! This isn't the first time this has happened as everyone knows and yet and still they keep letting him back in. I DON'T GET IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Lions are 0-10

The Lions just look horrible this year with an 0-10 record. They are the only team still winless. I wounder if they will ever win. They kept this horrible streak going by losing to the panthers. The Lions were up 10-0 but the Panthers came back with an explosive running game. 2 of there running backs, Jonathan Stewart and DeAngelo Williams, combined for 250 yards and 3 touchdowns. The Lions didn't have an answer for this comeback by the Panthers so they had to take yet another loss 31-22.

Titans are 10-0

The Tennessee Titans are the only undefeated team remaining after 11 weeks of football. Recently they beat the Jaguars 24-14. Titans QB Kerry Collins has been leading this team victory after victory and this game was no different. He threw 3 touchdowns on 230 yards passing. He also has a big time receiver in Justin Gage who caught 4 passes for 147 yards and 2 touchdowns. Their running game was also nice, which consist of Chris Johnson and LenDale White. There was nothing the Jags could do but take that loss.

WHAT?????? A TIE

This game was crazy the Eagles and Bengals ended in a tie 13 all. The Beagles defense forced D.McNabb,QB, into 3 interceptions but they couldn't capitalize. McNabb did throw for 339 yards and a touchdown but had 3 critical turnovers. On the other side Ryan Fitzpatrick threw for 261 yards and a touchdown, but the player of the game was T.J. Houshmandzadeh who 12 passes and a touchdown on 149 yards. This was the first tie since 2002.

Giants killing the Ravens

The Giants dominated the Ravens 30-10. Eli Manning threw for 153 yards and a touchdown, but the running game was on point. The Ravens came into this game ranked #1 in total defense but it didn't show in this game. The Giants rush for over 200 yards collectively and it was nothing the Ravens can do about it. Then the Giants dominated on defense forcing Joe Flacco, QB, into 2 turnovers and he lead the Ravens in rushing yards.

A hurtful loss

The Redskins took a loss on Sunday to the Cowboys 14-10. Tony Romo came off injury and threw for 198 yards and a touchdown along with 2 interceptions. But the player of the game Marion Barber who ran for 114 yards and a touchdown. On the losing side Jason Campbell threw for 162 yards and a touchdown. The only other bright spot for the Skins is that newly acquired D.Hall got an interception along with Rocky McIntosh.

Giants vs. Ravens Preview

What oh what to watch for? Possibly the game of the year. The Giants(8-1) has the biggest and maybe the best running game starring Brandon Jacobs. On the other side we have the Ravens(6-3) #1 defense in the league starring middle linebacker Ray Lewis. You can bet Eli Manning will be under heavy pressure against the Ravens defense, the Giants offensive line will be tested. Rookie Joe Flacco will also be tested if he can hold his own against the great Giants defense. Which QB will step up and lead his team to victory? Which defense will force the opposing QB into the most mistakes? Who will come out on top? All of these questions will be answered Sunday afternoon @ 1pm. Don't miss it.

Skins vs Boys preview

The Biggest rivalry of them all the Washington Redskins(6-3) vs. the Dallas Cowboys(5-4). This is a huge NFC East matchup. The Redskins need this game to close the gap between themselves and the Giants who are 8-1. On the over hand the Cowboys need this game cause they're at the bottom of the division and if they lose this game their chances of making the payoffs will get slimmer.
Will the Redskins try to keep pace with the Giants or will the Cowboys keep their already slim hopes of making the playoffs alive? These will be answered Sunday night @ 8:15. Don't miss it.

Hall adds depth

Hall joins Shawn Springs, Carlos Rogers, Fred Smoot at Cornerback. The Redskins secondar is 8th against the pass and they will continue to get better with the help of Hall.

London Fletcher, Middle Linebacker and Captain of the defense, does not expect Hall’s presence will upset team chemistry. “We have a great locker room here and a bunch of guys who love playing with each other,” Fletcher said. “Everybody has their own individual personalities. So he has to fit in with what we’re doing, and we also have to embrace him and make him feel comfortable."

Everyone seems to be fine with the new acquisition, but he will be tested this Sunday against the Cowboys.

A Boost in the Secondary

The Redskins have signed free agent cornerback DeAngelo Hall on Saturday. Hall was released by The Oakland Raiders on November 5.

Hall, who is 24 years old, played his first four seasons with the Falcons, emerging as one of the top cornerbacks in the league. He went to the Pro Bowl following the 2005 and 2006 seasons.

For his career, Hall has recorded 276 tackles (243 solo), one sack and 20 interceptions.

Hall has made a name for himself in the NFL with some high profile matchups with the game’s elite wide receivers, including Cincinnati’s Chad Johnson and Dallas’s Terrell Owens. The Redskins’ next game is against Owens and the Cowboys on Nov. 16 at FedEx Field.

D. Hall picked Redskins over the Steelers and Patriots because he wanted to be closer to home in Chesapeake, Va.

A huge win for Giants

The Giants win close one 36-31 over the Eagles. The Giants had a total of 400 yards while the Eagles only had 300. McNabb had a nice game throwing for 194 yards and 3 touchdowns. Eli Manning also had a good game passing for 191 yards and 2 touchdowns, but he had help from Brandon who rushed for 2 touchdowns on 126 yards. Neither team could find a solution for the apposing teams offenses, but the Giants defense came up when needed to. They stopped Brian Westbrook on a fourth down and short to win the game.

Giants vs. Eagles Preview

A big NFC East showdown is coming. The New York Giants against the Philadelphia Eagles game will be critical in what will happen in the Division. The Giants sit at the top of the division at 7-1 while the Eagles are in 3rd place at 5-3. If the Giant win they go to 8-1 and take a 2 game lead over the Redskins, 6-3. If the Eagles win they go to 6-3 and tie with the Redskins for 2nd place. This also a critical game because neither the Redskins nor the Cowboys play this week. Can the Giants take a commanding lead in the Division or will the Eagles close the gap? These questions will be answered Sunday nite at 8:15.

Thursday, November 6, 2008

The NFC East

The Giants are playing at the top of their game. They are at the top of the NFC East with a 7-1 record. But the Redskins are not fa behind with a 6-3. The Eagles are on a winning streak and closing the gap fast. On the down side of the NFC East is the Cowboys, who has so many problems that its crazy they are winning any games at all. The next big match up is between the Eagles and Giants, which should be a good game.

Steelers vs Redskins thoughts

The Redskins have the next week off to lick their wounds. They fell to 6-3 after a big loss to the Steelers on Monday Night. I believe the bye week could not come at a better time. I think Jim Zorn, Head Coach, will work with Jason Campbell closer to lower the mistakes that was made. Also I think it will be great if the Redskins can get back healthy on the defensive side of the ball. Once this happens the Redskins will be an even bigger force to be reckoned with.

Eagles vs Seahawks

The Eagles got a huge win beating the Seahawks 26-7. McNabb had a great game throwing for 349 yards and 2 touchdowns. His biggest target was Brent Celek, who caught 6 passes for 131 yards. Brian Westbrooke coming off injury had ok game rushing for 61 yards on 20 carries. The Eagles defense only gave up a total of 233 yards.

The Giants easily beat the Cowboys

The Giants demolished the Cowboys offensively and defensively winning 35-14. Eli Manning threw for 147 yards and 3 touchdowns. Brandon Jacobs had a huge game rushing for 117 yards and a touchdown Derrick Ward also chipped in with 63 rushing yards and a touchdown. The Giants defense forced 4 turnovers, three of which were interceptions, 2 by Brad Johnson and 1 by Brooks Bollinger.

A horrible game

The Redskins took a horrible loss at the hands of the Steelers 23-6. The Steelers defense completely overwhelmed the Redskins force Jason Campbell into not one but two interceptions, which were his first of the season. Their defense shutdown the run as well as the pass. Clinton also had the worst game of the season only rushing for 51 yards. The Redskins got a taste of the #1 Defense in the leguae and will need this up and coming bye to recooperate.

Tuesday, October 28, 2008

Eagles vs. Falcons

The Eagles completely dominated the Falcons 27-14. McNabb had a good game throwing for 253 yards with no turnovers. But what a game for Westbrook rushing for 167 yards a 2 touchdowns.
Eagles defense also came up big forcing 3 turnovers.

Giants vs. Steelers

The Giants picked up a win in defensive fashion 21-14. Eli Manning threw for 199 yards and a touchdown to Kevin Boss in the 4th quarter. But that great giants defense forced 4 interceptions on the Steelers and 5 sacks.

Cowboys vs. Tampa Bay

This was a defensive game but nonetheless the cowboys won 13-9. The Cowboys defense came up big for them since the offense was in cruise control. Brad Johnson only threw for 122 yard and a touchdown to wide receiver Roy Williams. The Cowboys defense forced one turnover. The Cowboys really got help from the Buccaneers shooting themselves in the foot with penalties with 7 for 58 yards.

Redskins pick-up another win

Redskins come away with victory 25-17. Jason Campbell had another nice game throwing for 328 yards and a touchdown but the key stat is 0 interceptions. Clinton Portis has rushed for 120+ yards for the 6th game straight. Santana Moss had a great game as well catching 9 passes for 140 yards and a touchdown. He also returned a punt for a touchdown.

Monday, October 20, 2008

WOW!!!!! What a loss

The Cowboys were completely man handled by the Rams 34-14. The Rams forced the cowboys into 4 turnovers. Steven Jackson had a break out game rushing for 160 yards and 3 touchdowns. The Rams were firing on all cylinders. On the other side the Cowboys were just having an awful game. Brad Johnson threw 3 interceptions and was sacked 3 times.

A close win

The Redskins escape with a 14-11 victory over the Browns. The Browns miss a 54 yard field goal that help the redskins hold on. This game was scoreless until the 3rd quarter when Clinton Portis punched it in for a touchdown. Jason Campbell had another solid game throwing for 164 yards and one touchdown to Santana Moss.

the redskins aquire 2 former seahawks

The redskins signed punter, Ryan Plackemeier, and former MVP running back Shaun Alexander. Plackemeier was broght in to replace former punter Durant Brooks. Alexander was signed to replace the injured Ladell Betts to back up Clinton Portis.

2 NFC East teams took tough losses

The cowboys loss a rough game to the Cardinals. The cowboys were down 10 in the 4th quarter and made a nice comeback to send the game into overtime (24-24). But in overtime the cardinals shutdown the cowboys and force them to punt and the cardinals block the punt and recovered it for a touchdown winning the game 30-24.

The giants took a loss to the browns. WHAT A SURPRISE SERIOUSLY! The Brown completely dominated the giants defense putting up 35 point. This was Eli Mannings worst game of the season throwing 3 interceptions one of them returned for a touchdown, which was a big contribution to the 35-14 loss.

A hurtful loss

The redskins took a tough loss to the hands on the Rams 19-17. This game just ugly from the get. There was no sense of urgency from the redskins offense, it look like they were tryin. I believe the redskins came into this game expecting to win while the rams were hoping to win. This is a prime example why you cant let an NFL football team hang around because on any given Sunday they can beat u just ask the cowboys and giants.

Sunday, October 12, 2008

Clinton Portis

Clinton Portis has really emerged as one of the top running backs in the league with 3 back to back to back 100+ yards against good defensive teams. he rushed for 121 yards against the cowboys, 129 yards against the rams, and 145 yards against the eagles, who was #1 against the run at the time.

The Giants win a blowout against the Seahawks 44-6

WOW WOW The Giants had no trouble at all in beating the Seahawks. Eli Manning had a field day with the seahawks defense. He had over 250 yards passing along with 2 touchdowns. Brandon Jacobs ran for 136 yards and 2 touchdowns. The Giants offense was clicking on all cylinders and there was nothing the Seahawks could do about it.

Another big Win for the Skins

In the city of brotherly love the Redskins steal another divisional game on the road. Jason Campbell had another solid game completing 16 of 29 passes for 176 yards and most importantly NO TURNOVERS. Chris Cooley also had a good game catching 8 passes for 109 yards and 1 touchdown thrown by (wide receiver)Antaawn Randle EL. But the gameball goes to Clinton Portis for a phenominal performance. He carried the ball 29 times for 145 yards and a touchdown.
Donovan McNabb threw for 196 yards with 17 of 29 passes. Brian Westbrook, playing with an injury, scored 1 touchdown and left in the second quarter with two fractured ribs. The Explolsive rooke Desean Jackson returned a punt for a touchdown early in the first quarter.

T.O. is at it again

WHY OH WHY MUST TERRELL OWNS MAKE EXCUSES! After the cowboys loss to the redskins 26-24 last Sunday T.O started making excuses. He claimed that he didnt get the ball enough. WHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATTT? HE WAS INVOLVED IN 1/3 OF THE OFFENSIVE PLAYS. T.O. was either thrown to or handed off to about 20 times of a total of 61 offensive plays by dallas. And out of those 20 times he only caught 7 passes for 71 yards and rushed for 11 yards on 2 carries. SO it wasnt the fact that he didnt get the ball enough he didnt make the plays when he needed to. T.O just need to stop cryin and play football.

WEEK 3: a good week for the NFC East

How bout dem skins. They make it 2 in a row beating the Arizona Cardinals 24-17. Jason Campbell threw for 193 yards and connected on 2 tds with Santana Moss, wide receiver and Todd Yoder, tight end, as the receivers. Clinton Portis also had a good game running for 68 yards and a touchdown.
Late in the forth quarter with the game tied 17 all Kurt Warner tried to throw the ball to Larry Fitzgerald but it was broken up by Liegh Torrence and the ball tipped into the air and it was picked off by Carlos Rogers, his first of the year, and he ran it back for about 40 yards all the way down to the 15 yard line. then on the next play the Redskins scored on screen pass to Santana Moss.

The Giants won a thriller in Cincinnati against the Bengals needing over time to win 26 -23. J. Carney kicked the game winning field goal. plus he kicked 3 other field goals during the game.

The Eagles won a not so interesting game aganist the Steelers 15-6. Both . McNabb and B. Roethlisberger threw interceptions.

The Cowboys demolished the packers 27-16( didnt see that coming). The Packes couldnt get into the endzone to say their lives. While the Cowboys were crossing the endzone every chance they got. I guess u cant blame the Packers too much the Cowboys defense was stingy.

NFC East

The NFC East is by far the toughest division in the NFL. It consist of the Redskins, Giants, Eagles, and Cowboys. you can never tell whos gonna come out on top. The Eagles have a very expolsive offense with Donovan McNabb, Brian Westbrook, and the rookie DeSean Jackson putting up 37 pionts on the cowboys in a losing effort. the cowboys also have a great offense with Tony Romo and T.O putting up 41 point on the Eagles on Monday night football. But its one thing that both of these teams lack and its defense. both of these gave up a combine 78 points. On the other side the Redskins have a great defense with London Fletcher at Middle Linebacker, Shawn Springs at Corner, and Cornelius Griffin at Defensive Tackle completely shuting down Reggie Bush had less than 4 yards a carry. They also have great expolsive offense that lies dormant inside Jason Campbell, Clinton Portis, and Santana Moss that put up 29 points on the Saints. Now for the Defending Champions, the Giants come out on fire starting off 2-0. beating the redskins 16-7 and destroying the rams 41-13. Their Offense and Defense is firing on all cylinders. the offense is lead by Eli Manning and his primary receiver Plaxico Burress. The defense is lead by Antonio Pierce.
